Fibonacci Spiral

threeASFOUR presentation in Sarah Roosevelt Park, NYC. Sep. 2010

Plywood, pine wood, scrim

For the threeASFOUR 2011 Spring Collection presentation in Sarah Roosevelt Park, we designed and built a large Fibonacci spiral. Made out of CNC-routed plywood and pine wood covered in a light scrim, it comes alive at night with an array of geometric projections dancing about the curved walls that illuminate the models and their dresses as they circumambulate and enter the installation. Starting at a height of 5’, the sequence, over its 101’ feet of coiled length, increases to a height of 25’.
